Study Tour
Following
the International Solar Food Conference 2009 in Indore some of the participants will be
interested to see more of "Solar India". We are very happy to offer a short study
tour in cooperation with Brahma Kumaris in Abu Road.
The destination of our study tour is the
headquarters of the Brahma Kumaris, a renowned
spiritual organization in India.
They have pioneered solar steam kitchens and are using a number of them to cook
for thousands of people. The Brahma Kumaris also uses
photovoltaics and solar hot water heaters to run
three different centres and a hospital. For more information on the site and
the institution please have a look at http://www.solar.bkwsu.de or download the brochure of the Brahma Kumaris Solar Department: http://www.solar.bkwsu.de/Solar-Brochure.1360.0.html.
